Уно ХельмерссонУно Хельмерссон – шведский композитор и мультиинструменталист. Он родился и вырос в Вестерботтене, в сельской местности на севере Швеции. Склонность к музыке проявлял с детства. Родители, заметив его талант, отдали Уно на уроки игры на органе в ближайшем городе. Позже он изучал музыку в старшей средней школе, по окончании которой осенью 2002 года поступил в Королевский колледж музыки в Стокгольме. В студенческие годы познакомился с одним из знаковых скандинавских кинокомпозиторов Йоханом Сёдерквистом. По окончании университета работал ассистентом Сёдерквиста над музыкой к фильмам «Впусти меня», «Кон-Тики» и «Лимбо». Сегодня в послужном списке Уно десятки звуковых дорожек к фильмам, мультфильмам, театральным и хореографическим постановкам, в т.ч. саундтрек к сериалу «Мост», за который он был награжден Золотой премией FIPA, а также музыка к анимационному документальному фильму «Побег» (FLEE) Йонаса Расмуссена, который получил в 2021 году приз Большого жюри на фестивале Sundance. 7 мая того же года на лейбле PIAS Global вышел дебютный сольный альбом Уно под символическим названием FIRST.

Uno HelmerssonUno Helmersson is an award-winning Swedish composer and multi-instrumentalist whose credits include the worldwide hit TV series The Bridge, broadcast in more than 100 territories and for which he was awarded a Golden FIPA.
With near 70 titles on IMDB and over 600 registered compositions in his PRS he is one of the most prominent Scandinavian composers for film and TV today.
Most recently, Uno scored Jonas Rasmussen’s FLEE, an animated documentary that follows Amin, a man on the verge of marriage who shares the story of fleeing his country for the first time. FLEE won World Cinema Grand Jury Prize: Documentary at Sundance in 2021. Riz Ahmed and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau have recently been announced as executive producers and will narrate an English version of the film.
Prior to that, Uno scored fantasy film Nelly Rapp: Monster Agent based on Martin Widmark’s book series of the same name, and Benjamin Ree’s The Painter and the Thief, winner of World Cinema Documentary Special Jury Award for Creative Storytelling in 2020, which explores the relationship between the painter Barbora Kysilkova and Karl-Bertil Nordland, the man who stole one of her paintings from a gallery in Oslo.
Other major credits include Karen Stokkendal Poulsen’s On the Inside of a Military Dictatorship, James Jones and Olivier Sarbil’s On The President’s Orders, and Janus Metz and Sine Plambech’s Heartbound – A Different Kind of Love Story.
Other major credits include the Emmy-winning documentary series Armadillo which follows a group of Danish soldiers for six months in Afghanistan, and Magnus, about the life of Norway’s Mozart of Chess directed by Benjamin Ree, who Uno later collaborated with on The Painter and the Thief.
Uno was born and raised in Västerbotten, in the rural parts of northern Sweden. When he was a small child, his parents took note of his talent for music and made him take organ classes in the nearest town. As a teenager, having moved to a larger town, he played in bands and came to realise that he wanted to pursue music as his profession. He studied music in upper secondary school and continued with a number of preparatory courses before being accepted into Royal College of Music in Stockholm in the fall of 2002.
During his college years, he met Johan Söderqvist, one of the most prominent composers of film music in the Nordics. After graduating, Uno started working as Söderqvist’s assistant on films like Let the Right One In, Kon-Tiki and Limbo. Their cooperation matured into a partnership that has resulted in acclaimed productions like the TV series The Bridge and Departement Q I & II.
Uno’s debut album, FIRST, will be released by PIAS Global in May 7th 2021.

Other major credits include the Emmy winning Armadillo documentary series following a group of Danish soldiers for 6 months in Afghanistan; Magnus, about the life of Norway’s Mozart of Chess directed by Benjamin Ree for Norway’s Moskus Film; Susanne Bier’s A Second Chance, additional score; Mikkei Norgaard’s The Absent One; and Zentropa’s Department Q film series.
Flee is a 2021 internationally co-produced animated documentary film, directed by Jonas Poher Rasmussen, written by Poher Rasmussen and Amin. It follows the story of a man named Amin, who shares his hidden past for the first time, of fleeing his country.
