prepared for demonstration purposes, this long recording is made up of small sections from the mammoth quality of material resulting from the performance at the end of the workshop which bears the name "'''''''" ("seven single quotation marks", for those who wish to say it out loud). these recordings are from the first iteration of this ongoing process which was initiated in Aarhus, Denmark, 4th November 2009. a scored piece, it builds on the techniques and strategies developed during a 5-day immersion into "other" ways of thinking and being. more information about this can be found at the URL below. a test of endurance for both performing and audienting parties, it provides an opportunity to stretch focus, concentration and presence. this miniscule extract allows a tiny taste of what that might be as it continually evolves into always familiar but always completely different forms.
