razors have been discovered in various bronze age societies, crafted from materials like bronze or obsidian. they typically featured an oval shape, with a small tang extending from one of their shorter ends. throughout history, diverse razor designs emerged, varying in appearance yet resembling the function of contemporary straight razors. MASSAITH's album, 'the razor', ingeniously weaves together the processed sounds of various razors and shaving tools, encompassing both electrical and mechanical varieties. this musical creation comprises a sonic tapestry that includes the resonant clatter of razors landing on different surfaces and the intricate noises produced while disassembling these grooming implements. let's plunge into the world of sharp blades, electric motors, and other razor’s details together.
in the realm of MASSAITH's experimental electronics, an intriguing exploration unfolds, where the boundary between the sounds resonating within the human body and those enveloping it from the external world blurs into a captivating sonic landscape.
